Did you know he was actually an IBM employee? They had us look him up in BluePages as part of the "Succeeding @ IBM" class as a fun little exercise.

RIP. Heard about this today. His work may seem like "just math" but it was so important to computer graphics.

I remember the little Mandlebrot screensaver on my dad's old IBM knockoff.
