Go you!

I guess I don't really entirely understand how the process works, but will your body kind of eventually adjust and lose the skin and such itself if you don't have surgery?

From what I have been told, yes, to a point. But when you're really obese (and I was...probably still am, medically), there can be limits on what the body is able to do, especially depending on age, body type, and other fun factors.

That's part of why I want to sit down with my doctor and ask how much he feels I'm likely to recover, and how much we need to deal with.

Woohoo!
Also, re: surgery... dunno? When I lost all this weight, I didn't seem to have any extra skin. It probably varies by person though.

Yeah, and like I mentioned to Deanna, it also can be affected by the starting point. :) I think you were in better shape than I was to begin with.

That's so freakin' awesome!

And as I think I've said before, I'm really glad you write about some of this stuff here. I've really enjoyed reading it. Best of luck moving forward, too. Surgery decisions sound scary.

Thanks. :)

Glad that I'm helping. It's not....scary so much as a lot to keep thinking of, I suppose.
