Is there any character at the end of A Dance with Dragons who is not suicidal? I mean, does anything good happen to anyone that doesn't turn to shit?

But yeah, depressing book, and yet I rather liked it.

I also spent a lot of time reading the 3-star reviews on amazon, people who were disappointed that the story didn't move along. A lot of people said they were done with the series.

I might wait until a book comes out that I hear is good, then marathon through until then. Right now I'm just too depressed listening to it and knowing it's not getting any "better."
