A few things.

1. I still love Dean/Cas.
2. I still love show.

But...

Oh show. I don't know where to begin.

Now, I don't have a problem with how they handled the plot. They want to make Castiel into evil!god, great.

But, I do have a problem with how they executed it and the characterization errors. I am thinking specifically of the whole Dean doesn't know Lovecraft. Yes he does, now shut up.

You know what really bugs me? Is why can't the boys have anything good? For the first time in his life Dean had an actual friend and now that's been taken away from him. On a side note, I like the way they handled the Lisa and Ben issue. Seriously though, it's okay for them to have friends who don't die/become evil/areneverheardfromagain.

I also liked Sam's fractured pieces. Poor hell!Sammy.

As for the execution, I think the whole thing was too rushed. I also feel that "The Man Who Would be King" was leading to a very specific direction, with a fallen, human!Cas and or redemptive!Cas, but uh. no. I can understand why so many people are insulted, because I feel insulted. However, since I'm the queen of falling in with shows that ultimately like to fuck with me, I'm used to it. This is why I love Breaking Bad. At least it's honest and upfront about causing pain.

The season on a whole...Lots of great ideas, but too many of them to be properly executed.

spn, dean is my fictional boyfriend, episode review, sam winchster: antichrist superstar!, bobby thinks you're an idjit, castiel will smite you
