"Of course I will. It's a bit boring up here. Until next time," replied Matsumoto.
After Matsumoto hung up the call, Ohno chuckled. His friend can get clingy sometimes and always called him whenever something came up, from the most mundane to the most life-changing events.
They had a very long and funny conversation that it was already past midnight. Matsumoto was a night owl, so Ohno was not surprised if his friend gets more animated talking about various things in the evening.
As Ohno finished his quick shower before going to bed, he realized that he had not read the day's newspaper. He flipped the pages so that he'll hopefully fall asleep.
His eyes laid on a new page and the title caught his attention.
Matsumoto Jun died early today from a plane crash.
