Lol, when Holmes retires, he moves to Sussex (or something of that sort) and keeps bees. There's not really much of a hint before then that he has any interest in this activity, though Mofftiss threw a couple of books on the shelf in the show :P

I'm not sure I could really articulate why I love that movie so much, so many people didn't like it. But, it's one of my faves :) And it's super cool that we have different tastes, seeing as you've got pretty awesome taste in television and the like :P

Gene Genie \o/ Love both shows but prefer Life on Mars.The end was so bittersweet, shocking but I had to agree with that, I wanted him to go back. It was a kind of happy ending !!
But the closure in Ashes to Ashes was so beautifully done, I couldn't stop smiling and at the same time I cried yes I cried and smiled !!
I remembered coming out of my room talking to my roomie, not coherently though, with so much emotion running through me, I couldn't explain what I felt, just happiness , sadness and thankfulness for this amazing shows.

I think I cried at the ending of both shows and I agree that they were the happy kind of tears :) Truly some of the best tv I've ever watched.
