More Success, But Not Surface-Mount

This evening, I changed the two BU406 power transistors in the ultrasonic cleaner. They're TO220 parts on quite large heatsinks, and both of them were shorted collector-emitter. No, but I've tried it with the RETURN key from the Compukit UK101! It was grubbier than I thought, after 30-odd years of use and dust accumulation. But now it's sparkly clean, after a couple of minutes in the ultrasound bath with some hot water and washing-up liquid. I've shot before and after photos with the 50mm macro lens and an extension tube. Will post to Flickr later.
