Squirrels 7 Us 0

There were no less than 7 tomatoes in our back yard today….that were cunningly removed from the vine and partially eaten.

Five were randomly scattered under the tree....as if the tree dropped them like too ripe fruit.
One lay abandoned on the arm of the Adirondack chair…as if it were a forgotten apple core.

They probably had to come to your house since we didn't bother with tomatoes this year.

I think the squirrels are making a sauce . . . I've noticed that they ignore the slicing tomatoes and only take the Roma's.

Maybe they'll invite us over for spaghetti?

My plan is to keep an eye on the basil and oregano plants . . . There's no way I'm coming over for dinner if they don't use the proper seasoning.
