Doctor Who Christmas 2016 Instant Reaction Post
Finally got a chance to watch the DW Christmas special, so it's time for another exciting Instant Reaction Post.
It was good, wasn't it? It wasn't huge and epic and spectacular, but it was thoroughly enjoyable and left me with very little to complain about, which is more than you can say for most Christmas specials.
Some random thoughts:
* Moffat really likes opening up the tops of people's skulls, doesn't he? It's still pretty effective, but I think they may have used this trope about one time too many.
* I was skeptical when they said Nardole was coming back, but he won me over. I think I'd be happy with a whole season of him and Twelve being eccentric and alien at each other.
* I wonder how fandom is going to respond to this one. Lighthearted, funny episodes tend to not go over well with a certain type of fan. But I think I'm getting better at ignoring People Who Are Wrong On The Internet. Not going to let them ruin my enjoyment of the episode.
* Oh Twelve, I love you, I've missed you, please come back again soon.
