bed nest culprit

I think my bed may be teetering on expiration.
From the "they just don't seem to make 'em like they used to" department, .. I used to have a tremendously good bed (my parent's old custom made mattress/box spring set), but it was extremely heavy and it did not come along in my last move ( Read more... )

Wow, they really don't make 'em like they used to! I'm still sleeping on the same mattress and box spring set that my mom bought for me 44 years ago. Still no sags, depressions, or sprung springs at all after all this time. I'm glad, too, because I probably couldn't afford a new bed at the prices they charge for the things now. Hopefully my luck will continue! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love hearing that!
I did keep a twin mattress/box set from the same custom builder as the one that made my dad's bed, and it's in another room and doing fine... I just couldn't logistically keep the King at the time of the move... *sigh*

Yep I think dad's had been from 1965 and was still going strong, and the twin I kept is from around the early '70s
