For years, my hi-fi system had a nice Denon CD player which had built-in pitch adjustment. I haven't used it much in recent years and it's moved in and out of storage a few times ( Read more... )

Nice! You should get a second one and a cheap mixer and then you can supplement your income with DJ gigs. ;) It's crazy how much capability they fit into those things... in some cases (I forget how far back it's true) you can play and skip around in a track while you eject the disc and put in another, and the latest generation at least can also speed something up or slow it down by probably a factor of ~2x without it sounding "chopped up."

Though I am a bit curious what you use the pitch adjustment for when standalone... gotta get those Queen tracks into your vocal range when working around the house? :)
