gauges

I'm quite captivated by the merits and usefulness of measuring data and utilizing gauges. For some time, I've been wanting to get an O2 sensor, but they are a bit on the expensive side for something with a useful life of 2 years, based on the most common/accurate sensing methods... Almost two years ago I got a continuous RADON monitor and set it up in the basement. I was amazed by how much it varied even over a short period and depending on the season. Summer sees it averaged around 0.4 pCi/L while winter can see 1.8 pCi/L. I've seen sharp peaks close to 4, but that only happens during snowstorms. Weird.

That's quite a wide range yes... I'm sure you have heard that 4 is considered the top end for "safe" .. be careful out there!
I wonder if the snow impedes the circulation of it somehow.

I plan on doing another Radon test some time, to see if removing that clock from inside the house will have taken the Radon levels down... Not that they're high, but would be nice to see them closer to .5 than .9 of course :}
