Is summer over yet?

Well, my dad told me yesterday that he prefers that I don't get a summer job, since he wants me to concentrate more on driving and passing my road test. How the hell am I supposed to pay for books if I don't get a job?! Although, if any of the places I applied to ever get back to me, then he'll drive me to work

Your dad and my dad are twins. My dad doesn't want me to get a summer job either.... And with all the luck I've been having, it seems to be going that way.
