Details behind cut.

Howdy do,

I am a twenty year old guitarist/singer who is looking for an upright or electric bassist and drummer to play music with. I have recorded and played live for several years now and I would like to form a trio to practice original songs and one or two covers. We can work on finding gigs later, but my main goal now is to form a group and practice as much as possible.

Here are some of the qualifications:

- You must be between the ages of 18 and 25. I want to work with someone in my age group. I don't mind playing with older or younger people, it's just really not my preference. I want to be able to hang out, play music, have a beer or two and have a good time.

- You have to have at least a basic understanding of music. You don't have to be a professional by any means, just kind of have an idea of how music works.

- You have to have good taste in music. If you are a emo-geek, a metalhead, a hippy or a fan of G.G. Allin, then I don't want to have anything to do with you. Sorry. My main influences are listed below, so if you like some of the bands on the list, then I want to meet you.

- You have to have your own amps, and or drum set. Again, you don't have to have PRO equipment, because I sure as hell don't. You just have to have something we can practice with.

- And finally, you have to live somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, preferably the East Bay. I don't have a car, so I have to take the bus or the BART to wherever it is that we're going to practice.

OKAY!! Now that we have all of that out of the way, here are a list of bands that I like. If you also like any of these bands or music that is similar, please contact me at once.

INFLUENCES:

- The Damned
- The Sisters of Mercy
- Stray Cats
- The Birthday Party
- Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
- Elvis Presley
- Joy Division
- Bauhaus
- Gene Vincent
- Fats Domino
- Eddie Cochran
- Reverend Horton Heat
- Throwrag
- The Mummies
- Dave Vanian and the Phantom Chords
- The Coffinshakers
- The Cramps
- Tiger Army
- The Misfits
- Hank Williams
- Howlin' Wolf
- Johnny Cash
- Screaming Lord Sutch
- The Blasters

And there are many more, but I think you may get the point. I like a lot of Rockabilly, both new and old. I listen to a lot of Post Punk/Goth music and old style Punk.

Here is a website or two with downloadable songs that I have recorded. If you like what you hear, then contact me at once so that we can get started.

Thanks very much, I hope to hear from you soon.
