The only thing I dislike about them (and I've only made hats on them, mind) is that it gets very annoying when you get to the top of a hat and have very few stitches and tons of wire.
Hey now, circular needles have wire, double pointed needles do not ;P
Getting started on DPNs is hard, but once you get going, I find it a lot easier than knitting flat, because you never have to turn your work. The hard part is just making sure you don't drop stitches between needles.
Oh my goodness, I think this is the fourth time, I've posted this comment! Sorry, hun! I've had a shit day so far, and I'm a little wired, so I'm not concentrating that well.
One more time:
Circulars scare me.
I find I'm really enjoying DPNs...except, like you say, I'm really paranoid about dropping stitches between needles. Cos I suck at picking up stiches.
Aw, btw, this is Ravelry. A beautiful abyss for knitters. My username is spanishtechno, if you decide to join up and need friends. ;P My page is kinda boring cos I don't have my photos up, but that will happen soon enough.
Also, I posted some pics of a baby blanket I knitted in the post before this, if you wanted to take a squiz.
