You are completely and totally right! It's just that you have a photo to commemorate this new level. :)
Spawn is also achieving new levels of awesome every day, and is also the subject of many photos commemorating each and every occasion. (And I weep for the moments which somehow get missed because I just do not have enough hands to always be holding a camera or even my phone.) Currently, he's trying to crawl. It's much too early for that, but no one told him that. There are no words. I am that person who can talk about nothing but her child (or, occasionally, her job), and I really can't do anything about it. He's just that amazing.
That's a great photo! You look so happy and awesome! Yay! OMG I really really really hope the PA Ragnar works out because I TOTALLY want to be on a team together! I'll definitely need to train on some hills, though.
I know! One of our guys just happened to be a photographer so we got some AWESOME pictures. There's a few that I really, really love.
I know at least a few of my teammates want to do the PA race (including the Simon Pegg lookalike, YES!!!), and I will definitely keep you updated. I really want to be on a team with you too! And dude, the hills-- no joke. I thought I would be ok for the NY race, because it looked pretty flat in the race bible! But no, it was torturous. Why do I want to do this again? :)
There aren't many hills in the part of town where I live. Tucson is a valley in sort of a bowl of mountains. But as you go toward the mountains, of course there are hills. Those are my plan for PA Ragnar training. I remember riding my bike northeast through PA and the hills... omg.
I don't know why anyone does this kind of stuff! Well, I kind of do I guess. For me, it's just so hard that the fact that I was able to do it at all is a thrill. I also love the feeling when it gets easier, when I can think to myself "Huh, maybe I'm not the world's most terrible runner ever". Accomplishment. Anyway, I'm glad you want to do it again! And that there is a Simon Pegg lookalike!
Simon Pegg lookalike is adorable AND British AND I love him.
Yes-- the thrill of being able to do something that you never thought you wouldbe able to do-- that was it for me. I mean, I only started running like 6 or 7 months before the race! I had no stamina, no type of cardiovascular health, no leg muscles-- but I wanted to do it, and so I did. Now, I want to do it better :)
