We have, as some of you will know, been working our way through Adam Adamant Lives and tonight's episode was "The Village of Evil" - aside from the increasing frequency with which hooded ceremonies seem to be appearing[1], there was one other thing that really surprised me.

Not sure how well "transmitter decapitation" works on the radio - it's assumed people don't like techy stuff in their drama.

But hey, the very last episode of Survivors got away with being a walkthrough of black-starting the grid from a hydro-electric power station while being threatened by a maniac determined to send you back to the dark ages...

"If you take one thing home from this; you will know how to repower the country" - I have no idea how accurate they are, but I'm aware until National Grid built their backup control centre (4 or 5 years ago, I think) and hooked it to a simulator, they didn't know if black start for the Grid would work. Apparently it does.
