Hmm, we have 2 keyboards that agree with you and one that agrees with cabbage. Brain seems to find either layout equally reasonable.

The argument against it is that no-one knows the words. Ever since my mum told me that as a child (in Ayrshire) who occasionally went up to Glasgow, her contemporaries would sing "Wha's seen the tattie howkers(x3)/Coming up the Broomielaw" to the tune

I distinctly remember singing my own (slightly subversive) version of this song when I was little: "Sail, sail the English channel (x3)/Sail, sail sail". I have absolutely *no* idea where these lyrics came from...
