Thank you for the comment. And,YES, I loved that scene because it showed that, while loving, Dan is willing to hold Blair accountable for her ridiculous.
Thank you:) And, yes, poor Nate. I tease him because I love him and miss his relevance to the core of the show. For instance, why couldn't he stay with Serena and Blair at the hospital? But, whatever, I'm hoping his s/l's get juicier, too.
(Side note: For those of you who don't see the P and P parallels. Please immediately leave this page and go rent P and P: 2005 version).
Girl, I myself totally thought that Chuck was acting very Lady Catherine de Bourgh there! Dan's whole "Now I have a shot" speech reminded me of Darcy confessing to Elizabeth "It taught me to hope as I have never hoped before." There have actually been a surprising amount of P&P allusions ("In spite of myself-- and honestly, many times -- in spite of her.") in the dair arc and I LOVE THEM ALL.
p.s. the 95 version will always be perfection to me. You need a miniseries to get all the good stuff in there.
LOL. As soon as I posted that, I thought, oh no, I've started the infamous P and P movie debate haha. But, no I love both versions. But, one because I read the book late, the 2005 one was the first one I saw. And, second, as much as I love the BBC version, it's not exactly a "quick pop in the dvd player" movie haha. I need a whole weekend for that. So, basically I love both of them in different ways.
