So, rather than moving the rest of our crap out of the old apartment at a sedate pace over the next couple of days, we worked quick-time to get everything out of there and the apartment cleaned by last night. Why? Because our lease is up at the end of the month and we'll probably be in Omaha through the end of the week -- and our apartment

I'm still stunned that this happened to Chris's sister. His family is in my thoughts and prayers-and I wish I could do more to help.

I just wish I could've been there to help yesterday too.

BTW, my dad was allowed to sit up today, and the current report from the nursing staff is that he is "stable and improving". Yay!!
