I'm not one to openly state my thoughts or opinions.  I decided to write about the night I found out I had been cheated on and so many emotions were relived.  The anger, sadness, frustration, uncertainty.  I realized other things that bothered me in the situation.

I agree, and I also think it also goes both ways. I think that there are many, many degrees of betrayal and some people find ways to define it when it cannot be defined. Also, if the point of the comparing is to prove some sort of competition, like we know people are prone to do ("well my situation was worse than yours because" or "at least you didn't have THIS happen") then all it shows is selfishness on that person's part. If people are comparing situations for the point of understanding the best way to give comfort, or the best way to understand what you need, a listener, someone to take your mind off things, etc, then it is not for a horrible reason. I also believe that some people's worse pain, the most they can really handle, is different from others, and they shouldn't be made to feel as if whatever has happened to them are insignificant in the light of another's pain. I think that someone can't compare for competitive basis, and that an indiviudal's pain can't be measured, and that the majority of pain is unique and thats the ( ... )
