That's nuts! It's not just colonials versus ninjas, but Queen Vic versus The Empress of China! The Boxers versus ever foriegn interest in the world! Christianity versus traditionalism! Amazing, bloody, awful history. Why don't more people like history?

I suspect it's cause people don't like the idea of learning from the past, especially when it might suggest that idea you had was already tried and didn't work out so well.
I am smart enough to make my own decisions (about war, politics, economy, etc.), thank you very much, The Past!
