Summary: Kyuhyun has developed a different addiction and Donghae wants to know what it is. But Kyuhyun hasn't told him. He hasn't told anyone for that matter. He has been sneaking out late at night and staying out until the wee hours. Only one other person knows and that is the person who introduced him to it. This new addiction is dangerous but Kyuhyun doesn't care. As long as he gets his fix he could care less. But this new addiction will cause the lives of Super Junior to change, some more than others.
Donghae’s and Kyuhyun’s schedule were pretty much the same. All the shows that they were to be on, they were on together. And the longer the day went on, the more paranoid Donghae became. Even though he knew Kyuhyun was hiding something from him, Donghae just couldn’t keep the thought of Kyuhyun being an assassin out of his mind. And with that, Donghae kept making connection with Kyuhyun’s personality and habits to him being a killer: the cold look that was always in his eyes, no matter what emotion he was showing, the evil glint in his eyes every time he had done something ‘sinister,’ his ability to pop out of nowhere (that entire day, Donghae noticed that every time he was alone, Kyuhyun would always pop up behind him and scare him practically out of his skin), the fact that he never cried. In all the years that Donghae has known Kyuhyun he has only seen him cry once. But he had seen all the other members cry more times than he could count (one of those being Eunhyuk).
Wrapped up in his thoughts, Donghae missed the question that the MC had asked him.
“Hyung,” Kyuhyun reached over and touched his shoulder.
Feeling cold, slender fingers graze his shoulder Donghae jumped a good foot out of his seat and fell out of his chair, landing on his hands and knees. The MCs and camera crew got a good laugh out of it, even Kyuhyun.
Laughing, Kyuhyun reached down to help Donghae up. “Hyung, are you okay?” He was expecting Donghae to grab it and pull himself up, laughing his actions off, but he didn’t. Donghae looked at the hand like it was holding a knife and looked at Kyuhyun like he was the killer just about to thrust the blade in his chest, ending his life and then walking away as if nothing had happened.
Brushing his hand away, Donghae scrambled to his feet on his own and looked at the camera and laughed like he had intended to do that. He got back into his seat and turned his body away from Kyuhyun, trying to ignore the look he was sending him. Donghae was trying to not make it obvious that he knew something but with that little episode he was afraid that Kyuhyun was starting to see that he was a little shaky.
Kyuhyun eyed the back of Donghae’s head. He was avoiding his stare that much was obvious. His body was turned slightly away from him and he was sitting on the very edge of his seat while also leaning away from him. Donghae was acting strange….well, more so than normal.
The whole day was like this. Every time Kyuhyun touched Donghae, no matter how little the touch, he would practically jump to the ceiling and then avoid him like he had the plague, but all the while making it look like it didn’t seem that way.
...........................................................
Kyuhyun sat at the computer, attempting to kill the monster on the screen when Donghae walked out of their room, rubbing his eyes. They had gotten home a couple of hours ago and while the other members went out to eat, Kyuhyun decided to stay home and Donghae had immediately fallen asleep when he entered the room, barely making it to his bed.
Kyuhyun thought it was funny. He was the one that hadn’t been sleeping but Donghae was the one that went to sleep the moment they had free time. Kyuhyun was tired, but he knew that it was only a few hours way before someone would call him telling it was time, and he couldn’t calm his nerves, he never could. Just like an addict. He had attempted to kill the enemies in the game multiple times, but he had only gotten two levels further than he had been since he started playing, and that was about three hours ago.
Donghae stepped out of their room, rubbing his eyes. He walked to the main room and froze in his tracks when he saw Kyuhyun sitting at his computer, hands over the keys but not pressing them. His eyes were also not on the screen, like they used to be. They would always be glued to the electronic device no matter what, but once he stepped into view, Kyuhyun’s eyes shot up and focused on him. This made him a little more paranoid and he quickly retreated into the kitchen. The rest of the members were finishing up their schedules, so there was no one at the dorms to cook dinner, so Donghae went to the fridge to heat up some left-over’s that had been from the previous night.
He placed the contents of one of the containers into a bowl and placed it in the microwave. He stood by the microwave watching the table inside spin around and around. He wanted to stay focused on his dinner and forget about his thoughts and suspicions about Kyuhyun. He tried to pretend he couldn’t feel Kyuhyun’s stare boring into the back of his head. Right before the microwave beeped, telling him his dinner was ready, he risked a glance into the main room and he saw that Kyuhyun was still watching him, his hands still hovering over the keys of the computer still not playing. Donghae caught Kyuhyun’s gaze and he immediately turned his attention back to his microwave, which had beeped.
He pulled the bowl out of the microwave and placed it on the table. He walked over to the refrigerator to grab a drink. His attention was completely on finding a drink, he didn’t notice that Kyuhyun had gotten up from where he was seated moments ago and had walked over to him.
Donghae closed the door and immediately jumped back and nearly fell on his butt…again.
“K-K-Kyuhyun?” He stuttered and immediately regretted speaking. His voice gave away that he was scared and he knew that nothing fueled killers more than knowing their pray was afraid.
Kyuhyun ignored it, somewhat, and followed Donghae back to his seat, when he had gathered himself enough to move away from him. He noticed that Donghae was shaking slightly and he was, again, avoiding looking at him.
“Hyung what’s wrong?” Kyuhyun kept his eyes on him, knowing that he would spot something that Donghae would try to deny he was doing. And he was right. Donghae leaned away from his, trying to make it discreet, and he kept his head down, taking much interest in his dinner than he should, as he answered him.
“Nothing’s wrong,” He laughed, “Why are you asking?”
“Because you’ve been avoiding me.” Kyuhyun knew Donghae would deny it.
“What?! I am not!” He exclaimed, finally looking up at him. His eyes locked with Kyuhyun’s for a moment but soon they darted off to the side and Kyuhyun nodded, catching everything the older male was doing.
“Yes you are. You have been avoiding me all day.”
“I have not!” He defended lamely.
“You haven’t spoken to me all day unless it was absolutely necessary. And every time I get within five feet of you, you step back and then try to run away.”
Donghae mentally kicked himself and lowered his head. Yeah, he could try to avoid Kyuhyun and make it seem like it was nothing, but Kyuhyun was the most observant member of the group, next to Heechul. Trying to lie to either one of them was like trying to get Heechul to go to church with Siwon. It was damn near impossible.
Kyuhyun got closer to Donghae and stared him down. “What’s wrong?”
Donghae flinched slightly, trying to stop himself from moving away from the younger and proving him right, when he had approached him. He was going to die! And Donghae knew it was going to come soon and when he least expected it. But if he was going to die soon for suspecting Kyuhyun, he was going to die after he got the information that he wanted.
Feeling daring at the moment, Donghae looked up and saw that KH was staring at him, waiting for him to say something.
“Kyuhyun, do you…I mean, are you an…um…assassin?” he asked trying so hard not to look away from those dark eyes, the eyes of a killer.
Kyuhyun blinked a few times, his eyes softening. He looked down at his hyung. Or at least he thought it was his hyung. Yeah, Donghae was known for making odd assumptions and he even would often believe that the aliens were going to come down and take over the world. He even thought at one time that a few of the members were taken over by aliens. But assassin? Really? Kyuhyun looked in Donghae’s eyes and saw that he was serious. Without warning, Kyuhyun burst into laughter.
The silence was so thick that Donghae wasn’t ready when Kyuhyun burst into laughter, making him jump for the nth time that day.
Kyuhyun stood there, one hand clutching his stomach, the other reaching over to the wall, trying to keep himself from falling over. His fingers grazed the wall and Kyuhyun leaned into it, resting his body on it so he could clutch his aching stomach with both hands.
Donghae stayed in his seat, debating whether or not to get up and run out of the room. Kyuhyun was laughing like a mad man. Like in many movies, when the killer began to laugh, only bad things were to follow. Fearing that he was about to die, Donghae slowly got up from his seat trying to make it escape Kyuhyun’s notice. But just as Donghae had gotten his foot over the thresh hold of the kitchen, Kyuhyun looked up and at Donghae. Donghae froze in his tracks, looking like a deer caught in the headlights.
Wiping away the tears that were falling from his eyes, Kyuhyun walked over to the older man and ruffled his hair, Donghae cringed from his touch. Really, he was supposed to be the hyung.
“Donghae why would you ask me that? Really, you can come up with the strangest things with that imagination.” He walked past him and went into their room.
Donghae put on a fake smile and laughed half heartedly. Okay, maybe he was losing it. But he knew Kyuhyun was hiding something. Deciding to never watch another movie with Eunhyuk, he went over to his unfinished dinner and finished eating, silently beating himself silly for even thinking something as crazy as that. That type of craziness was for Yesung.
A/N: FINALLY!! I have this chapter done and up! I had all the other chapters done except this one. I had written it at least three times and I didn’t know how to connect them all and have it make since. So, sorry if this chapter seems rushed, crappy, and forced. I tried to make it as best as I could, but because I couldn’t get it written like the other ones, I kinda forced it and it sounds like it was. I really wanted it to be posted sooner but…yeah.
COMMENT! COMMENT! COMMENT! Even if it’s to tell me how crappy this chapter is, I don’t care. I could like some fed back on it.
Oh! And sorry that it’s shorter than the others. This is all I really had planned to happen in this part anyway ^^
And another thing, I checked and it seems like this part will have eight chapters to it. Part two I have no idea how many it will have, I haven't started that one yet, bit I believe it will have less chapters than this one.
