Well, helloooooooooo MRS KIM!!! welcome back! I am right there with you on Kauai. It's so green, lush, and just magical for me. I love that island. Did you check out that napili coast?? it's truly beautiful.
I'm proud of you for taking a stance regarding your mother. I'm just sad that of all people, its your mother that is causing the stress and anguish. I can't imagine how hard that must be. Kudos to D for being understanding and being there for yoU!
Can't wait to see your pro pics! From the videographer's pics, the wedding was gorgeous.
I didn't know your mom didn't show up. I guess you knew all along that might happen. I'm with you -- post pone what you want as long as you like. I am in the same boat. And on the name change...you don't have to do it in a given period of time. Maybe you should just think about it more. Decide on it before you update your resume ;)
Yeah, I didn't mention it in my recap. I might write another entry about that issue. I'm not sure if I really knew that she wasn't going to come, but D did. Luckily, he made up a back-up seating chart in case she didn't show up.
Welcome back! I can't wait to see pictures from your wedding and honeymoon, even though I know I'll immediately want to start planning a trip to Hawaii.
Re: name change--I still waver on this. There's no easy answer, not for me at least. I like the idea of having one family name, but hate the idea of giving up my family's last name. If only 2 korean last names didn't sound sort of weird...
*sigh* I can't wait to see our pro pics! Then I'll be able to write a better recap of the reception. The Korean last names - I think a combo of "Lee" with anything would sound nice...maybe because "Lee" can also be used as a first and middle name. But alas, neither D nor I are "Lees!" How I came up with that, I don't know. :-D
