Shower stuffIt just occured to me today that maybe I should think about what I'm going to wear to my bridal shower. I don't think I need to wear anything very dressy because it's going to be held at a Chinese restaurant. However, I'm ingrained to dress up for any type of special occasion. I was planning to wear jeans, but maybe I should wear a ( Read more... )

"However, I'm ingrained to dress up for any type of special occasion." I absoluately agree! I love any excuse to get dressed up. A skirt would be cute. It will differentiate you from the crowd.

So cute about D!

I am guilty of being RSVP illiterate too! :)

Thanks for the feedback. Now for the dilemma: I don't have any cute skirts, just work skirts. Oh well. :) I'm probably RSVP illiterate too. I didn't know until after I started planning my own wedding what the "M" was for on the RSVP!

Am buggin FI about his tux too. Even his groomsman are bugging him. He has yet to pick something out for them either. Soooo, he has a deadline of next Saturday. GRRR!

I think a skirt would be nice! Less formal than a dress, but cute and stylin nonetheless! I love dressing up too!

Glad to know that D isn't the only procrastinating, nag-resistant FI on the tux issue! Hm, a Saturday deadline...do you think your FI is actually going to honor it? I know mine wouldn't! *sigh*

Yep, I'm nagging away. Problem is, there's so much stuff to nag on...i'm so tired. =P Do I think he's gonna honor the deadline?? Hmm...he BETTER! I'm gonna open up a can of whoop a$$ on him if he doesn't. LOL. kidding. Actually he's pretty good at honoring deadlines when they're given. I've learned that in the past month- my boy is useless in the wedding world unless i tell him what to do and when to do it by.

I hope your FI finds something today! Did you get the coupon from the bridal faire for Men's Warehouse?

That is so funny about D having all these excuses for not trying on tuxes. Does he know that he can pick them out before actually getting fitted? I made my FH go to Men's Wearhouse awhile ago to pick out the tuxes but he didn't want to get fitted because he wanted to lose weight. LOL. Who knew men were so vain?

And I totally hear you on the RSVP! I'm just dying to get them back and although people still officially have three weeks left to RSVP, obviously the sooner the better. Personally, I thought that was why we sent out STD's, so people had plenty of time to decide and make plans to come. I would think they would know whether or not they were coming to the wedding before they got the invitation, but whatever! Okay, enough of my rant. Sorry for hijacking!

Holy crap, we have vain FIs! I know, I told D that he just need to try on styles to see which one he likes. I don't think guys understand that tux shopping is kind of like dress shopping - you can't expect the sample to fit you perfectly.

Sounds like you're having the same RSVP laggers as I am. I can understand OOT people not returning their RSVPs ASAP because they need to make travel and hotel arrangements. But what about all the local people? Rant away...we're in the same boat!

Vain Vain FI's swannie3 July 21 2005, 21:19:19 UTC
yes, my FI is vain too. He is constantly staring at himself in the mirror from different angles to see if his beer belly...oops, i mean six pack is diminishing any.
