Oops, now I remember what we did on Saturday. We drove to Sonoma kind of late in the afternoon and bought our wine for the reception! I've never known too much wine to be much of a problem :) Good deal on swinging a bigger discount! I wish I could be more of a haggler...oh well!
You are kicking some major wedding planning booty these days! Keep up the good work, you're almost there!!

I hate haggling too. D asked if the winery could give us anything more if we bought a certain number of cases. It never hurts to ask because the worst that could happen is that you're denied. But getting the guts to ask is probably the hardest part!

Wow you're a great haggler! That sounds great. I just got some info back from one of the vineyards we were looking at. It's a 3K site fee and they have a strict policy that we can only buy thier wines...we can't even bring beer or other alchohol!

3K for a winery site fee would be heaven! A lot of the wineries out here charge a site fee of $5,000-$10,000, depending on the day and time of wedding. We're at a hotel, so we're not bound to use their wines. A little easier for wiggle room, I suppose. But try to haggle on anything you can, because every dollar saved will help!
