I received the fans from Asian Ideas and the favor boxes from Paper Mart yesterday. The favor boxes are much cuter and matte gold than I expected. Me likey. I have a lot of leftover cherry blossom paper from the invitations, so I think I might glue a narrow sash around the box to dress them up

ya know, it is so funny that you mentioned your slideshow- Our friend is creating a wedding "slideshow" for FI and I and we were going over what he has so far last night. In pulling together the pictures for him, I realized how very little photos I really had as well. If the photos were a reflection of my life, mine are so off!! ha haa...I think it comes from the fact that I never owned a camera up until the recent digital camera craze. So from the time I was an infant (which I only have 1 pic of btw), up until I was 24, I only have what others have taken of me. From the time I was 24 to 27 though, I have THOUSANDS of pics of me. LOL! Good luck finding pics- it might help to go around and ask your buddies to see if they might have some pics of ya stocked away. =)

I think one of the reasons why I don't have a lot of pictures is that I'm lazy and I figure my friends (who are camera FIENDS) will take pictures. But then I always forget to ask for copies. Oh well. We have enough pictures for the slide show, but we both have huge gaps between baby pictures and adult pictures. I have no pictures of me in high school, which shows how much I hated those years!

Once, my mom showed me a whole album of my older sister to me and insisted that it was me. I guess we all do look alike. :) Just get some other Korean girl's baby pictures and see if anyone notices! :)

Pictures are forthcoming. The fans aren't bright white like they look in the pictures, more like that dingy white that comes with cheap paper. LOL about Korean baby pictures - me and my female cousins have the same exact pictures too, especially the obligatory baby propped up against the flat square korean pillow and the one year birthday party. When I visited Korea when I was little, I was like, "why do you have my baby picture in your photo album?"

Sorry the fans suck. Add the detailing you want! No one will notice the quality and think to themselves that it should be better. For some reason this situation reminds me of the shitty food I served when I was a waiter at a particular restuarant. I would put a dish down and if I did it without a smile, the guests hated the meal, crappy tip, etc... If I put the meal down like it was a $100 plate at The Ivy, they said it was sooo good, I got a good tip, etc.... Same meal. You get it...

The only person I complained to about the fans was D. I figure even if anybody notices the quality, nobody will have the guts to complain about their cheapness to me on the day of the wedding. :-)
