The most pressing assignments I'm currently facing in school are reflective/observation type essays. Having always been a fan of this particular type of essay, I'm not terribly concerned. That's a fascinating and extremely useful ability if it's true, and I'm curious enough that I'll probably try to catch you doing this, but unless the sponged information is being redirected at people who haven't met the originator for each relay, I'm kinda skeptical. You seem too much your own person to be simply regurgitating people back at themselves in a different intonation.
However, I can certainly see why people don't notice when you do this to them, as people are probably thrilled, if not expecting by default, to hear their opinions restated in agreement.
It's the being 'dry' otherwise that I don't buy.
