Dave, I was walking around the flea market in plainpalais today and saw about 5 record players waiting to be bought, and I thought of you. Good to see you're having a good moment, what with plans to run off to Venezuela in a ernesto-che-guevara-motorbike-escapade type thing, and that you're making plans for your summer. I'm extremely jealous as my only link with south america right now is my boyfriend, (although perhaps I'll be tumbling down to Peru next winter with him). Hope things with you are good, I may write you an email very soon, as its been a while since we last talked. Exams are absolute bullcrap, and the sooner its over the better it will be. We must meet when they end, because who knows when I'll see you again afterwards?
i have one i got from that market and *surprise* it doesn't work. i suppose that's what happens when electronics get rained on week after week because nobody will buy them. Well, nobody except me since i'm a sucker like that.
I'm actually going to costa rica but so many exciting things are happening in venezuela and bolivia (It's about time someone told washington to fuck off!) that i almost want to take a year off and just tour the whole continent. i hope sarah didn't confuse costa rica with venezuela when she told you about my plan, her geography skills aren't exactly amazing...
i've heard from sarah about how ridiculous the exam period is and i really hope you guys do well. If you aren't too frazzled from filling in little bubbles and writing essays i'd love to see you before summer.
