DBLCLKEDIT AutoCAD variable

Hi guys!
Maybe more experienced people could tell me, how to turn on double-click editing. I've changed DBLCLKEDIT variable to 1, but it does not help. Double-click editing of objects is nescessary for me. I have AutoCAD Architecture 2008 program.

...meaning you want the properties palette to open when you double-click? Or something else to happen?

yes, I want properties palette to open and Dtext editing in dalog box (DTEXTED is already set to 1) - but it does not works.
