I'm using AutoCAD 2006 full version on my home computer. Everything was fine until the other day when I suddenly couldn't change the properties of any objects by using the pull-down menus at the top of the screen. Simple things like, the color, layer, dim style, etc. of any objects. Same is true for view ports. I can't change the scale or lock/

try changing the PICKFIRST variable (type at the command line) to 1

YES. That fixed it. Thank you. Why would it start doing that all the sudden? It was so annoying.

it's possible to accidently change it. I think there is an icon for it at the top of the properties palette, for example.

Gotta' love all those variables! I think at one point I printed them all out and made a poster with them. Filled one wall of my old cubicle.
