Lakeland, FL.

So, we start late. because i'm late. imagine that. and then we get as far as taco bell on palm beach and stop. hahah.

so we decide to go the 31 way, yay for us.

NOT!!!!!

I vote we nuke Zolfo Springs, FL right off the map. We could use another lake. >:O

First, Neda accidentally turned the wrong way on a one-way street. !!!

She turned on there, and i'm thinking: "FUUUCK!!! NEDA!!" but of course, she soon figured that out, because, as she rounded the corner, a line of oncoming traffic (no not the improv troupe.) greeted her, and she had to pull onto a sidewalk.

September's car and my car are dying laughing, clapping for her, and everything.

then! when we were actually in Zolfo Springs, ALL THREE OF US GOT PULLED OVER.

*coughcoughbullshit!cough*

He says we were in a 35 mph zone, and that he clocked me at 53, september at 61 and neda at like, 64 or something.

yeah, how the hell can you physically clock three people in such rapid succession and remember so ACCURATELY the speeds they were going?

so anyway, he pulls up and i ask if he wants me to pull over, and he says no, and waves me off to the side.

So he then gestures like "those two" neda and september being those two.

but then he decided he wanted me too!

so, we all pull into this gas station, which, i swear to buddha is not 1000 ft. from city limits, and he tickets us all. what a son of a batch of cookies.

so, then we were finally on our way.

we get to lakeland. i walk in, and i swear to god, i see a gary-esque thing. (in every way!) hahah. i contend that he is. no matter what anyone says.

and he was so hitting on derek at dinner.

and we played some competitive sports, which anna sucked ASS at. ahaha. (big surprise, right?) and apparently if you yell "Shazaam!" when you kick a kickball, it significantly improves your game. :O hahah.

and we made wonderful christmas cards! we had the talking holiday penguin.

and then we tried to volunteer at toys for tots but apparently the person sam talked to didn't understand that we actually wanted to volunteer, they just thought we wanted a tour? so we toured the warehouse.

and! there was....an abacus. who the heck gives a kid an abacus!? ('Man, that abacus is so much cooler than the one i had when i was a kid!")

so we went to another Y instead, and volunteered at some teen night.

(i swear, they were spraying axe into the room, and i'm thinking: "oh GOOD! pour pheromones into a room full of teenagers where there aren't lights and there's rap music playing. good job!")

hahahaha, and then this little girl comes up to some of us...and i swear this girl and Farah need to have a dance-off.

"what y'all doing here?"
"We're from another Y, we came over on the Y bus."
"Why?"
"Well, we're from this thing called Youth in Government"
"Y'ALL THE GOV-UH-MENT!?!"

ahahaha, yeah, "We tha' govuhment! Fo-town YIGgas for lyfffe. " (which i still contend should be our shirts)

and family time. "Don't judge me! I like balls!"

and the bonfire.

and then this morning we actually did toys for tots and the hurricane packing up stuff.

so, all in all, i guess it was worth $591.50 in combined speeding tickets, getting lost and all of the other things that made me want to collapse and bawl on the way up. :P

haha, I <3 YIG.
