Waste of Time?

Puzzles have always been something that I’ve loved to solve. Word searches, fill-ins, Sudoku, crossword, word problems, Jumble; and the list could go on. There’s something weird, though, that goes on in my brain when I’m solving a “for fun” puzzle. There is a distinct disconnect between wanting to get all the answers and thus completing the puzzle

at least they stretch and exercise your mind which is way more than sitting in front of the TV will do. they're interactive. now if the puzzles were also teaching you something - like crossword puzzles sometimes do, then you'd be learning too. I like to use these types of puzzles instead of tests and quizzes in my courses so test learning.
