Title: Velveteen vs. Going Home Again.
Summary: What happens when a former child superhero returns from her travels in the seasonal lands, only to discover that things have changed, possibly forever? Velveteen is home. Home is not the same.

I'm pretty sure I was holding my breath for the last part of this, but I don't know for how long, just that I found myself letting go at the end.

Very much looking forward to the next part. I'd forgotten the hall of Mirrors; it is, yes, a way to change the world in ways that are impossible. But I don't need to ask whether this is going to hurt--because it is.

Aaaaaaaaaaaa! I don't know whether to squeak in glee or cry miserably. Poor...almost everyone, really. And yeah, somehow I suspect Velma will find a way to pay the price.

I admit, I'll be interested to see whether they somehow 'restore' Jackie and end up with both a Jack and a Jackie (since Jack is in the group that will be going through whatever the door is, and might come back with them even if history rewrote again). Although I'm not sure I'm confident they'll get Jackie back at all. What a mess!

If some cosmic force or secret organization has dedicated this much time to keeping the greater population ignorant of the existence of superpowers, what would make them stop?

It's times like this I wish I hadn't let my paid account lapse. When I answered that question "Something too big for them to hide", it'd be useful to have my Divis Mal icon available; being able to link to md_donighal is only sort of a substitute.
