Honesty is a good policy but tact is perhaps the best. Of course I don't mean, let's lie to people, but people shouldn't just come out and say honest truths when they aren't asked especially when they're negative. Example: I answered the door on Saturday after getting out of the shower and looking terrible. I opened the door and my friend Dylan goes, "YOU LOOK TERRIBLE KATE." Tact, Dylan. Tact.
