I feel your pain caddie, having worked for said company I know that they do everything possible to eliminate shrink. Honestly next time what you should do is have the layaway make the call. Many managers treat the electronics counter like the bane of existence but when it comes to helping the layaway they for some reason are fairly quick in getting their butts to the back of the store. I think its because layaway tends to be near the big bosses room and grumpy layaway employees are going to be overheard.

We were actually checking out at the front of the store. I think if we were in the electronic s section the cashier would have had a key thingy >_<. we were only 3 isles away from the cig-register (which is where the evening managers NORMALLY hang out)

I'd have waited 5 minutes max and then would have just walked out. As you said, power tools work in a pinch! :)

That's weird that Walmart puts their movies in cases. The one I work at doesn't. Also strange that Customer Service was closed that early. At mine, it doesn't close til 10 or 11. Sorry you had to go through all this headache.

some of them are, some aren't. I should have gotten that movie on DVD and not boo-ray... the dvd version was not in a case. Often times I will see 2 copies exactly the same, one in a case one not.
