D'awwwwwwwwwwwwww. Very nice. (I'm a big sucker for hypothermia fics, but this is a particularly good one.) Very well-researched- I forgot how big cell phones used to be!- and with a great sense of place.
This is a great AU- I'm interested to see how you'll handle nonpowered!Steve and Tony. And Tony is the cutest little emotionally insecure nerd ever.

My dad's had the same cellphone number since 1989. I still remember them, vaguely. Huge boxes with a giant shoulder strap that looked more like car batteries.

The sad thing? That picture you give as an example... we had one of those too. AT&T and all.

And to get to the fic, so so adorable. I'm glad you decided to continue from that little snippet you did. I read them, wrote you FB, and then my browser crashed and I was so pissed and I haven't had the chance to go back and tell you I enjoyed them, the predecessor to this especially.

This was wonderful! I adored young Steve with his artistic aspirations and fragile health (plus, the fact that you managed to have him get trapped in ice). Young Tony is just made of awesome; I can totally see him carrying an acetylene torch to the park to work on his creations (movie!Tony should have learned the lesson with him and tested his hover boots outside - no walls to run into).
I look forward to reading more of this lovely AU :)

Thank you! I admit, I've been having way too much fun coming up with ways to parallel things from the comic in the real world. This story practically wrote itself once I figured out the whole rescue-from-the-ice(pond) scenario.
