Haha, he's lovely! Almost imposing but still soft. He still looks quite Murray-esque too. I guess you could have gone for a more Life Aquatic-ish beard, but that wouldn't nearly be Santa enough.

you know what though? He totally looks like Bill Murray! He is a hard guy to draw, you can never tell if you have him or not. I think it all boils down the the jaw and hair/brow line for him.

See, once I'd coloured it I took a step back and thought "Who's this guy?", there's some Murray in there but I could have done better. He's half Bill Murray, half fat Santa.

Definitely looks like a fat Bill Murray now you've pointed it out. I thought it was going to be Flight of the Conchords related when I recieved the email. And I love Santas clothes and the background - have a real Paul Pope feel to them.

Thanks Chris, I wasn't thinking Pope when I inked it, was just trying to fill the space and get some texture in there. I'm happy with the wrinkles at the elbow.
