Eh. I haven't seen that many people leaving livejournal, but I am annoyed when I do see it.
I do think your new site is lovely though. Wordpress is frustrating for me to use at times but it does make a very professional and easy to navigate website.
My only problem with it is I would like to be able to have different looking pages for different things without having to create an entirely new blog. For example Chester would get a different design than my art site and other comics, but it doesn't seem possible.

Hey Jess,

It's not that people have been leaving LJ, I've just noticing that people are posting less and less, and I don't consider Tweet summaries as blogging.

Please don't be annoyed at me, Jess, I won't forget yooooooooou! I have both your LJ and Chester in my Google reader so I can get double-boners everytime you post.

I like Wordpress for the fact you can manage your whole site online and the ability to create multiple pages. I do know what you mean about different themes for different pages though. I have a whole other Wordpress for The Everyday because you can't use the Comicpress theme, for example, within another theme.

And I'm glad you liked the new site, thank you.

Out of interest, how easy is wordpress / comicpress to set up?

Wordpress is pretty easy to set up. There's clear documentation on the Wordpress site. The only variable is your webhost's database menus. Comicpress works like a theme and you can choose different layouts and column set ups. It's no big deal. The only tinkering is with the CSS code, getting your links to be the colours you want etc.

Good on you for having a clean out, Cadders! I rarely use Myspace any more but I still can't bring myself to put it down just yet. And I think I still have Comicspace and Deviant Art pages somewhere. Blech!

Hey buddy. I totally agree with what you say about the slow, steady decline of livejournal. My friends page is filling up with twitter summaries and long gone are the days when I couldn't keep up with my friends page. Maybe I'm following the wrong people (or at least the people who have left livejournal?)

Wordpress does seem to fit my needs and I'm brewing ideas to get marcellerby.com a more central place for me, it makes no sense having a blog in this direction, the webcomics over there and the gallery and store down below.

I still love livejournal, I'm just a bit funny about the hella emo entries that plague the beginging of this journal and looks a bit Dawson's Creek. Harrrum. A fresh start would be nice.

The site looks cool. I like your new, smug green face.
