Hmm . . . Vade had to find Luke before the Emperor did ?
So *ponders* this must have happened between ANH and ESB ( or RotJ ), maybe ?
I like the sound of "My boy" said by Vader *smiles*. It makes me realise that he REALLY care about his son.
His ship crashed ? I hope he will get well soon ! ; )

Yes, it was important that Vader found him first or there would be no options left to him. Although in ROTJ he took Luke to the Emperor, things may have gotten worse sooner if Luke had been caught by someone else.

And in my story Vader has been injured so perhaps what he is saying is what he feels deep inside and not what he usually allows himself to believe. Luke is all he has left of a time long past and intentionally forgotten and a person that he used to be.

Thanks for reading it, I'm glad you liked it! As you may have noticed, I can ramble on forever about the relationship between Vader and his son.

Awww!! I really felt for Vader here and I love how much his love for the son he never knew keeps him going. It was incredibly touching. ♥

I always thought Vader would be very possessive of his child, not in a bad way but in a caring way. It must have been devastating for him when he found out Luke was alive. And although he made plans to turn him to the Dark Side I don't think he would have because he would not want his son to be like him. It must have worn at his mind and heart for months before he died.

Oh wow this was so beautifully done! I love how for once he's not thinking about himself but his son and this helps him heal both physically and mentally...

Yes, now Vader truly wants something...not power, not the Dark Side, not even to escape from the prison he's been in for 20 years...but his son who was created from his love with Padme.
