Marketplace, the business show on public radio, completely pulled me in with this one. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out later that people are actually doing this. The website sort of gives it away by calling it an "April 1st Exclusive," but just imagine hearing it on the radio while you're cooking dinner.

You may have noticed I changed the title at the top of the page. I think it goes better with the art, no? The real reason is I'm going to be using the original title for something else online and I don't want people to get confused. Watch this space for more info about that project, coming soon.

A Finnish Computer Programmer lost one of his fingers in an accident. So he replaced it with a thumb finger drive. Yes, that's right he made a prosthesis with a USB drive inside it. This silent film from 1905 of some young ladies from an exclusive boarding school visiting Coney Island is a real treasure. It's worth watching for the clothing alone, but you also get to see some of the rides in action.
