So there's this girl at work... She drives me crazy. I'm sure that she likes me, but today she was playing coy. Cold, cold, cold, all fucking day. No smiles, no eyes. Then, right as I leave for home, her face lights up for the first time in eight hours and she says goodbye with stars in her eyes

she's definitely doing the thing where they ignore you to make them seem more attractive. I saw an episode of scrubs like this recently. Sometimes the best way to handle that is to just plow on through their defenses and be forward about it. Course, you might not want to take dating advice from a guy who rarely (if ever) dates, hehe
