I don't know - I think probably it is hard to create a whole world of emotions like this in 100 words! (I have this idea that the 100 word drabble is like the haiku of fanfic, lol - and yours would certainly be examples of this).
You already know my thoughts (in great detail ;) ). So I'm just going to say this is wonderful; quite haunting; and very true to Mark's character on many levels.
Thank you! I'm happy you think I portrayed Mark in this well. I was a bit nervous, since there's a lot to cram into 100 words, and it's great that it worked for you. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment; I appreciate it :D
Oh, I'm glad you think I did! I wasn't quite sure, so thank you for saying so =) And, also thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts. I really appreciate it =)
I'm not sure what I can add that hasn't already been said?
There’s a twinge of something ugly when he thinks about it, and he’s almost inclined to push it down; but it’s just him and a glass of scotch in the shadows, and every truth he’s made about himself has been in the face of darkness, and why deviate from what works?

This is perfection.
