So hot today...

On my third treatment of Chemo. The 15th was my last day. Now day 11 into it, I have some neuropathy (numbness) in the tips of my fingers. I'm also a little nauseous. Other than that I'm doing okay. I've had some issues with my eyes too, though I don't know if it's the chemo or if my lasic is just going wrong. I can see fine in the morning ( Read more... )

*hugs* Hang in there. Have you asked your regular doctor about the vision problems yet? Might be something to check on.

I should. I'm just afraid to call because my nurse is such a moron. I hate talking to her and I can't talk to him without first getting screened by her.

The best part of this post: "I'm on my last treatment and the doctor already thinks I've kicked this cancer's ass."

I'm really glad to read that :)

As for the treatment - think of it like a long hike, and you've got only the last couple miles to go before you can rest. You're almost there.

You're absolutely right. I've gotta take it in steps. I'm very impatient though. LOL. I want it to be over now. Imagine how I'll be when I'm pregnant. ^__^ Ya won't be able to live with me.

Very definitely happy to hear the doc is pleased with your kicking the cancer's ass. Excellent work on your part! :D

The healthy eating sounds awesome. I'm trying to pay more attention to my food choices. I love the late summer fruit and am going to miss my peaches before too much longer. They have them available all summer but they don't taste good until August/September.

Sending on intent that the radiation treatments go smoothly and with the least amount of side effects for the maximum effectiveness.

Also that your eyesight issues resolve well. I so need to get an exam and get some new glasses and contacts. Soon™. ;)

*sends moar love*

My peaches have been awesome. But yeah they're only ripe and tasty right about now. We've been picking them as they turn pink. They're so good with milk. Thanks for the good intent. I need the vibes. One thing that has carried me through is the fact that I have so many good friends wishing me well.

I have read some accounts now of Cytoxin affecting vision. That is one of my cancer drugs. And that it goes away eventually. It's not bad in the morning but gets worse as the day wears on. Ah well. It could be way worse.

Interesting thing is Nao says that it's much easier to go without meat with all the fruit we're eating. Pretty neat.
