Well, last post was speculation filled. After a busy morning of speculation and picking apart posts, Scott Rouse posted this:

Every time I go to that thread, it gets longer even as I'm reading! I'm afraid if I go to bed, it will have a dozen more pages by morning and I'll never catch up. The 4E license doesn't matter nearly as much to our business as to others, but I know people whose lives will be very much affected by its final wording.

Yeah, I know a company or two that were way on board with supporting 4e, but when faced with the prospect of shutting down their PDF stock (which nets them thousands of dollars a month), that's just not an option for them.

At the end of the day, I'll happily roll with whatever they advance. I just wish the press coming out made it seem less like they were looking out for everyone instead of themselves. But I don't blame them for making the latter choice at all; it's potentially sound business. We'll have to see.
