Don't lie. Altering data does no one any good. The point is to gain valuable information. When you lie about your findings you end up adding false information into the general pool of knowledge.
Intellectual honesty is more important. Inform your partners that you won't be altering your data, that if the experiments don't confirm your hypothesis then that is what you'll report. However, feel free to air the problems you see in your methodology on your poster.
