I was cleaning house today and found some old writing journals. I'm in the habit of carrying a book around with me to scribble ideas in and try to make a habit of writing for at least ten minutes every day so I keep the creative muscle flexed. Obviously, it doesn't work sometimes. This dates back to sometime in June 1999.

You know what I hate? When I get message begging for my help, and because it took me a whole two minutes to see it and reply, they go and find someone else, so I'm responded with, "thanks, but I've found someone else, but if I need your help again, I'll let you know." You know what? That's fine. Strike me off your list.

I went for my eye exam today. The good news is, my prescription hasn't changed since i was fifteen years old. that's over 20 years. This is a good thing, since if my vision got any worse i'd be completely blind, rather than almost blind. For a blind gal I've got very healthy eyes. I want to go home.  This week sucks ass.

EDIT: This week doesn't just suck ass...it's sucks three year old shitty, stale, vermin-encrusted ass. Today is one of those days when I just hate my fucking job.

I had the best dinner tonight. I bought some applewood smoked cheddar and made a cheese sauce with it, tossing in a bit of grated asiago at the end. It was eaten over some shell pasta, and tasted sooooo awesome ( Read more... )
