We can't all be that place in Jericho.

It was the usual two tables on a Monday night, rainy, no one else coming in forever and ever. I picked up the check for the old couple that was leaving, three dollars and ten cents on a thirty dollar check. My mouth tied itself in a knot and I stared at their backs as they left.  In my head, I said, “I hope I never see you again.”
At table 209, ( Read more... )

Ray and I roll mad deep, yo. Word for the Gangs of PC. statistical_ September 2 2008, 13:47:41 UTC

I remember thinking I didn't want to get to this state when I mouthed off to a customer I was seating - one of the last times I worked there and picked up a Hostess shift. Amaris laughed at me, understanding, but cautioned me against such vocal declarations of other's shortcomings. That was one of the nights we had coffee in which I started with, "Becca, I gotta get out of here."

It's a job like that that gave me faith back in youth - when they were the one that said hello, asked how your days was, and apologized for their parents, while they stood on their tippy-toes, and still weren't able to see over the counter.

Phase 1 of getting-the-hell-out-of-PC: Complete.

Yeah, I'm done ...waiting tables for a long time.

The front door was the worst too, for some reason, I couldn't watch my mouth while I was up there either.
Whenever people would come in, and like...bark at Steph to do something while I was standing right there, I about wanted to jump over the counter and rip their tongues out of their mouthes.

Hehehe...yeah. I'm ready to move a little further north hopefully not too much longer. I need to get super stable. And I want to be closer to you and Katie. And Colin's leaving so there's no point staying here if all my close friends and people that keep my sanity in check are elsewhere...granted my mom's here, but like I said...no point staying here. :P

It's just time to go where it's a little cooler I think. :] Let's all leave Florida!

Lmao You should hear the way I talk to my managers working this shit job at Walgreens.

I'm like Office Space meets Always Sunny.

Just today...

Manager: Hey can you just stock the totes and then come get me so I can tell you what to do next?

Me: Yeah sure... Man I can't wait to quit this job.

His looks was priceless, not sure if I was joking or not.
