Today was interesting. I went to the clinic and had my ear reexamined. My doc was shocked, first by the fact that the infection hadn't cleared up and second that I wasn't screaming in pain. I had to get stitched on my thumb a bout 7 months ago from work injury. There was a pagan nurse in the room while the doctor was getting ready to numb the area. She uses chat to distract patients from what the doctor is doing. I blatantly told her that she had to wait for conversation, and then after the doctor was done I explained about my ability to redirect pain within my body. She completely understood, and much conversation ensued after that. I was amused that she cared enough for people to do that, but in my case it was a bit unnerving, hehe

*smiles* has to do with energy work that I've been doing for more than 14 yrs, moving it around using the chakras and just a little bit of meditation along with will power to make mind ignore matter. Some actually like to place their thoughts into a fun and pleasant place, but in so doing you would be denying yourself of everything life has to offer. If you never allow yourself to feel at least some of the pain, you'll never have anything to compare the pleasures with.

I have to disagree: I was much more content dead. It would be so much more satisfying for me to turn off all pleasure/pain receptors. For you to say that life should have pain, shakes me on a level that I cannot describe.
