Green card fiasco

I know we're not the only family affected by this, but I am soooooooo disappointed.

First, the good news: last month, our lawyers informed us that our wait to apply for permanent residence was finally over.  We were next on the list to apply!  They also advised us to get our applications in immediately because the price for a green card is going up

oh, gawd, sarah! i'm so sorry to hear this. i know how much all the immigration stuff/financial drain really wore on you in june. i can only imagine how frustrated and disappointed you are.
